“in ancient japan, crane is widely considered as auspicious object which is used for celebrations, greetings and prayers and said to bring good luck to any circumstances. it symbolizes longevity, loyalty and luck. i am bringing this auspicious object into everyday accessories (e.g. hair pin and ear rings) by employing the beautiful origami (ori 摺 gami 紙) paper and folding into a tiny crane. i am hoping to bring luck to each smiling face.”
